Lower One had an exciting day at the Time and Tide Museum, bringing their explorers topic to life! The children learnt about the remarkable explorer Ida Flower, who has just returned to Great Yarmouth after a challenging two-year journey to unknown lands. But despite her thrilling adventures and the incredible artefacts she’s collected, no one seems to believe she’s a real explorer. So, what’s going on?
During the visit, the pupils teamed up with Ida and her friends to uncover what it truly means to be a great explorer. They discussed essential qualities such as bravery, curiosity, observation, and respect. With plenty of enthusiasm, the children engaged in hands-on activities that tested their skills and sparked their imaginations.
By the end of the trip, Lower One didn’t just learn about Ida Flower; they also discovered that exploration is about more than just travels—it's about curiosity and a spirit of discovery! This memorable outing not only enhanced their understanding of explorers but also encouraged them to embody the traits that make adventure possible. What a fantastic adventure!
