Welcome to Norwich School Pre-Reception

Children thrive when they feel happy and safe. By providing a warm and nurturing environment with outstanding pastoral care, we can instil the emotional confidence needed for them to build secure foundations for their school life. Norwich School Pre-Reception offers families wishing to embrace a Norwich School education the opportunity to start their journey from the foundation stage at age 3. Our pupils are ready to explore new things and discover their full potential, and with just 16 places, children in the Pre-Reception are assured individual care delivered by our dedicated team of qualified early years specialists.

Here at Norwich School, we also believe that experiences are the catalyst for developing understanding of subject knowledge in the early years and our curriculum has been designed around role-play, ensuring it is both fun and developmental. Our Pre-Reception children benefit from an experiential education delivered through specialist teaching in IT, sports, music, langauges, engineering and STEM, supported by an exciting clubs and societies programme and nurturing pastoral provision. 

The Pre-Reception year is the perfect platform for developing a child’s self-confidence, resilience and desire to learn as they begin their journey at Norwich School. Our aim is to give children the best start in life and love each day they are in school.
