At the start of half term, 11 crews raced at the National Schools Rowing Regatta at the Olympic Lake at Dorney. Across all days the crews raced a Time Trial in the morning, from where the top 24 crews were placed in Finals.

On Friday two J14 boys, two J14 Girls and two J15 Girls Quads raced. These events had over 45 crews in each category. Well done to the J15 2nd Quad reaching their respective C Final, showing some gutsy racing, and to the J14 boys and girls first quads that reached the D finals.
On the Saturday, it was the turn of the J15 sweep crews and the Senior Boys and Girls.
The Girls Championship Coxed Four raced to 3rd in the C Final.
The J16 Boys Coxed Four finished 3rd in the B Final
The Boys Championship 8 raced over 2 days with the Time Trial placing them into the Repechage to race for a place in the A/B Semi Final. With the Semi on Sunday placing them into the B Final and a strong but tough race seeing them finish 12th in Championship. This was the highest placed finish that the Boat Club has achieved in Championship 8s.
The J15 Girls 8 had a strong Time Trial , albeit with a small challenge in the last 500m, but managed to hold on and secure a place in the A Final, where they finished 6th. This is the first Norwich School Girls crew boat to reach the A Final at National Schools- a phenomenal result.
The standout result was the J15 Boys Coxed Four. The Time Trial results placed them into the A Final. With 500m to go the first 4 crews were within a couple of feet of each other. The boys kept pushing to the line and won a very well earned Silver Medal.
Well done to Sahib Wahiwala, Mateo Vedrenne, Joseph Hawkes, Isaac Latter-Casas and James Howard.
