Nicola Hill

Director of Partnerships

Nicola Hill is currently Director of Partnerships at Norwich School and is in her 23rd year at the school, having worked in various other roles (Head of Maths, Assistant to Director of Studies, Senior Mistress, Assistant Head of Fourth Form, Acting Principal Deputy Head and most recently, Assistant Head i/c Admissions, Marketing and Outreach). Prior to arriving at Norwich School she worked in three Norfolk state schools: Framingham Earl High, Wymondham High and Thorpe St Andrew School.

Nicola represents Norwich School within the community wearing many different hats, including as a Board Director of the Norwich BID (Business Improvement District) and as a member of the Nelsonspirit Crew (which comprises 50+ Business Leaders, Charity Leaders, Community Leaders and Future Leaders, from Norfolk). Most recently, Nicola has particularly enjoyed hosting intergenerational events and publishing the fourth edition of ‘Together we Can’ which celebrates Norwich School’s broad and varied partnerships programme.

Alongside this senior leadership role, Nicola is a self-confessed maths enthusiast, and her main passion has been inspiring and enthusing pupils throughout the 29 years she has been teaching. She has always enjoyed working with pupils from across many schools; way back in 2001/2 she helped run an annual Summer Schools for local Year 6 pupils and also helped to launch the Norfolk Royal Institution Maths Masterclasses. Rather excitingly, Norwich School has been running their University Summer School for 150 Yr 12 state school pupils for 23 years and Nicola has been a key player in this too.
