Clive Jourdain was born in Mauritius and educated at Radley College and the Université de Poitiers. During his career he has worked for HSBC, Blyth Green Joudain Merchant Bankers, Blyth Brothers (Mauritius), Bristol Myers Squib International, the Office for National Statistics and Copyright Licensing. He was Prime Warden of the Worshipful Company of Dyers in 2012/13 and has been a Governor of Archbishop Tenison’s School and a Trustee of Archbishop Tenison’s Foundation.

He is married with six children and 11 grandchildren and takes a keen interest in disabled sailing, golf and the arts.
