Mathematics is an exceptionally useful tool for anything numerate or in fact not numerate. Maths is sought after because of the transferability of the skills and the notion of abstract content that describes very precise instruction or application to a wide variety of jobs.

By itself, a Mathematics Degree is highly sought after and pupils that follow this path specifically go into a wide range of highly numerate careers, for instance: aerodynamics, astrophysics, cryptography, software engineering, mechanical engineering, banking and statistics.

An A Level in Mathematics is exceptionally useful for many applications into the world of science. Underpinning many of the scientific theorems its application into Physics and Engineering, Chemistry, Biology and Environmental Science magnifies greatly, as well as being highly supportive in the study of medicine. In the Social Sciences, Psychology and Geography, Mathematics plays a role in grounding of the statistical nature of these courses.

But in all honesty, whatever your interests are, Mathematics will be a very supportive subject for your career.
