2025 Entry

Important dates:

For Reception to Year 6 entry assessments take place in January 2025.

Application process:

When we receive an application, we will aim to acknowledge it within a few days. We will be in touch in advance the assessments with details about the morning to the contact(s) named on the application form. 

For entry into Reception and Year 1, children are assessed for a readiness to learn. This is carried out through a variety of individual and group activities designed to gauge independence of thought, curiosity, articulacy, sociability and problem-solving ability in structured and non-structured situations.

For entry into Year 2, children are also required to complete some simple, age-appropriate academic tests.

For entry into Years 3 to 6, children will undertake a number of activities to help us assess their verbal and practical skills in English and mathematics. Children who successfully complete their assessments are invited to interview.

For children in Year 1 and above, we will ask your child’s current school for an academic reference unless indicated otherwise at the point of application.
