Norwich School is extremely fortunate to be located on a site rich in heritage and interest and, for many years, we have been delighted to participate in Norfolk’s Heritage Open Day scheme.

This year we open our Chapel and our Air Raid Shelter to the public. The beautiful medieval Chapel dates back to 1316, has proud regal connections, interesting graffiti and windows, two war memorials and an organ with a fascinating back story.

The Air Raid shelter beneath the playground offers a totally unique opportunity to descend underground and into the history of the Cathedral Close during the height of the bombing raids of World War II.
