Yesterday, the library was transformed into a scene from Hogwarts for our annual Harry Potter Book Night. This year’s theme, Care for Magical Creatures, enchanted pupils with a night full of magic, mystery, and adventure.
As students entered the library, they were greeted by stunning decorations that included floating candles, flying keys, a giant Aragog spider, and even a bubbling cauldron complete with flickering embers and wisps of smoke! The atmosphere was pure magic, setting the stage for a night of unforgettable fun.
The evening began with pupils creating their own Harry Potter-inspired names before being sorted into houses by the famous Sorting Hat. Interestingly, not a single student ended up in Slytherin this year!
The activities began with a treasure hunt as students became Nifflers, scurrying around the school in search of hidden golden coins. Next, everyone got crafty by creating their very own magical Bowtruckles. The night wrapped up with a challenging Harry Potter quiz, where it became clear that some students are more than ready to sit their O.W.L.s!
To top off the magical evening, everyone enjoyed a feast of themed snacks. The menu included Slytherin Snake Sandwiches, Golden Snitch Sausage Rolls, Nimbus 2000 Cheesy Broomsticks, and fresh salad straight from Professor Grubbly-Plank’s garden. These delights were paired with Dragon’s Blood Potion and, of course, the ever-popular Butterbeer.
The evening was a spellbinding success, with students fully immersed in the magical world of Harry Potter.
