We work closely with the wonderful local charity English Plus to provide support for and contact with local refugees. Here is a list of some of our ongoing projects:

• Bicycle restoration scheme where donated bicycles are serviced and given to people who have recently arrived in Norwich.

• Donations days to collect basic household & hygiene products, as well as stationary goods.

• Messages of goodwill, alongside seeds, compost and containers to grow herbs in. Attendance at the English Plus classes in the cathedral Hostry to meet the refugees and to deliver these.

• Staff sponsored cycle rides: York Minster to Norwich cathedral in 2022. Norwich to Rouen 2023 and plans are afoot (sic!) for the Three Dales Ride in North Yorkshire during the autumn half-term break.

• Dumpling Day, which coincides with the Chinese New Year. We make about 600 dumplings, consume 200 of them, then deliver the remaining 400 to the English Plus students the following day!

• Visits to the Nancy Oldfield Trust for water-based activities such as kayaking and sailing.

• Day trips to local wildlife centres, such as the Ted Ellis nature reserve at Wheatfen.
