Admission – free
A new art exhibition is coming to the Norwich School Crypt Gallery this September, featuring an unusual collection of photographs taken in Norfolk parish churches. The exhibition is running from Tuesday 6th September to Saturday 10th September from 10am-4pm and admission is free.
Two local photographers began a tour of Norfolk churches, just for fun, the summer before the covid lockdown. This exhibition showcases the quirky and curious treasures they discovered in the form of photographs of objects and architecture.
Norfolk has over 650 medieval churches, the highest concentration of churches in the world, and the highest density, with one church per 1,850 acres. The two photographers, Keith and Tom, intend to share their sense of surprise and wonderment at the jewels they discovered in Norfolk’s rural churches during the summer of 2019.
Tom says, "our exhibition has raised many smiles. This has given us pleasure also."
