Welcome from the Master of the Lower School
It is my great pleasure to welcome you to the Lower School web pages. The Lower School is the Junior department of Norwich School admitting boys and girls from 7+. We provide a vibrant and friendly environment in which all pupils are encouraged to achieve academic excellence and enjoy opportunities in sport, music, drama and many other exciting activities. Visitors to the Lower School often comment on how well-mannered, happy and considerate our pupils are. Pupils relish the day-to-day challenge of school life and are given an excellent foundation for success in the Senior School and beyond.
The School has a delightful location in the Lower Close to the East of the Cathedral. Classrooms are bright and spacious with a library and specialist facilities for ICT, Music, Art and Design Technology. Sports Fields surround the school and there is an excellent outdoor play area. It is a truly idyllic setting in which to develop a love of learning.
I do hope that you will come and visit the school. Enjoy a tour from one of the pupils and see at first hand what they love about their school. Details of Open Days and visits can be found in the Admissions section of this website. I look forward to meeting you.

John Ingham
Master of the Lower School
